Hoorah. Went up to Montezuma Falls today with Dad, talked about things…
Like jobs. Not like, odd-jobs and stuff like that, but proper jobs. We both know that the owner at Cannonfire isn't that good at his job as owner, so we discussed buying it and what I'd have to do on weekdays and weekends… I really would enjoy having a job at a place I really like to go to. ![]()
Some things we discussed include things that would have to be done before and after shop hours, occasional tournament days, and days for specific groups, like, yes, you RS fanatics, a RuneScape night, keeping up-to-date on games… (Yes, you can see I'm really excited in doing this job.)
But sometimes we broke away from serious discussion and had a bit of fun, like the times he tried to push me in the mud. ![]()
And after all that, we made it back and drove home. And after we had lunch and rested our sore feet, I got to work on typing up my ballad that I had to do for school. Actually, I just got told just before that it mightn't have printed out. Lucky I saved a copy.
AND NOW TO STORIEEEES

My friend Tom Banks (Who has an LJ, but doesn't use it. I should get him to post. And add me, so I can go “NUDGENUDGENUDGENUDGENUDGE”
) wants to be a writer when he grows up. I think. A couple of days ago, I found two of his offspring, “Enemies on the Grounds” and “Enemies in Schools”, both spy-ish stories. Kinda like…kids that want to be spies, then happens to come by a professional who assigns missions to spies and stuff.
So…the copies I found. Enemies on the Grounds, I found as a printed copy in my cupboard, while I found Enemies in Schools on one of my backup discs. As you can probably tell, the two are part of a series of three, but I can't find the second one.
So….anyone wondering, here's the excerpt from the first book, which I am typing up onto Google Documents.
Tom, Scott and Simon are spies in an old lab. It was being passed down from generation to generation of the Banks family. Now it was Tom's turn to have it with his friends, Scott and Simon, but as I said before, it was old.
One day Scott was reading the Inverleigh News Wing (A newspaper for spies) and he saw a new lab for sale. He quickly read through it.
MC Roneo Lab is for sale, providing three private offices, each with modern computers, a toilet, a kitchen and more, all for a low price at $150. Call 1800-NOTASPY for more details.
Scott quickly rang Tom's mobile. Eventually Tom answered.
“Hello, Tom speaking,” said he.
Scott got straight to business. “Can we have a spy meeting today as soon as possible please?”
“Sure, I will contact Simon and tell him,” Tom replied, and started searching for the number for Simon's phone.
“Thanks,” finished Scott, as he hang up.
Tom found Simon's number and rang him up. He wasn't there. In the message prompt that followed, Tom told Simon to ring him back as soon as possible.
Simon rang Tom back half an hour later. In five minutes the meeting was planned for two o'clock sharp. Tom then got back in contact with Scott, back in the lab, and told him.
At 1:30PM, Simon rode to Tom's house to get a lift to the lab with Tom's mum, Helen. Tom lived down the road from him.
They got there, and Scott showed them the ad for the Roneo lab for sale in Inverleigh. They rang up to ask for a visit. The owner said they could come at three o'clock. Tom then rang his mum to get a ride for the three of them. His mum came to get them to the MC Roneo lab.
“What time do you want me to come and pick you up?” Asked Helen when she dropped him and his friends off. “Fifteen minutes,” Tom replied, happy.
When the three of them opened the front gate they couldn't believe their eyes. They had never seen such a well-kept garden.
They went into the lab where the person was sitting waiting for them to give them a tour of the lab.
“Hi, my name is Joe,” introduced the man.
“My name is Tom,” he replied, shaking Joe's hand. “These are my two friends Scott and Simon.”
“Let's go on a tour of the lab,” Joe said.
“How long will it take?” Tom inquired.
“Hmm…” Joe thought. “About half an hour.”
“I better ring Mum to let her know,” said Tom as he opened his bag to find his mobile phone.

Joe took them into the kitchen where he told them that they could make anything they want, then moved into the meeting room, the spy areas, and the main office, where Helen was waiting for them.
Tom, Simon and Scott gathered together to discuss it. Eventually it was decided that they would buy it, and let Shane work in it for free. They all knew Shane because he was in their class at school.
So there you go. Actually, the original text was riddled with errors, such as '”Thanks.” Said Scott trying to sound thankive' and 'He dialled in her mobile number and it ranged,' but other than that, it's a good read for me. Probably because it was done by a friend.
While I'm typing up Enemies on the Grounds, you can have a look at Enemies in Schools. That should be a nice read for you.
And so ends this big blog post. I should post big blogs often.
Well, seeya. *explodes*
